geometric felt flower wreath diy

Last week, I finally took down my Winter wreath on the front door, so I thought it was time to brighten things up for Spring. I love a good traditional wreath, but why not add something a little geometric for a change?

Materials used:

-1 inch diameter dowel (cut into three pieces)

-gold spray paint. I used this one.

-felt in various colors. (I chose creamy tones)

-faux foliage (I chose eucalyptus)

-hot glue gun and glue sticks

I decided I wanted to make a wreath that could hang on my front door or be propped on the mantle.

Here are the steps I took to make this little wreath:

- Cut the dowel Into three piece. The top two pieces were 45 cm and the bottom was 30cm

- Once the pieces were cut to fit, I attached them with hot glue glue and waited about 15 minutes to set.

- I sprayed two coats of gold spray paint and let that set for about two hours. I used this spray paint

- For the flowers, I decided to make camellias and spiral roses. I used this camellia tutorial and this spiral rose tutorial. Once the flowers were made, I hot glued them to the wreath.
